So much has happened in such a short amount of time. I just read my last post from a month ago and I am stunned at the number of things that have occurred in such a brief period. This is going to be short (hopefully) as it is 2:30 in the morning and I just finished my first night shift. I guess you could say that within the last month I have graduated university, got accepted into a course, travelled to visit friends, saw two of my friends get married, and received not-so-great news about my aunt...Those are just the bare bones.
As a result of all of those occurrences, I think that I have already become more secure in my place and understanding of real non-academic life. What it's like to get up at 5:30 in the morning to go to work, what it's like for your whole paycheck to be gone within 10 minutes on bills, and what it's like to say goodbye to your most amazing friends for indefinite lengths of time. The fact that so many of them are going around the globe to pursue their dreams is exciting, as they are fulfilling their dreams. It's also a bit different to be the one staying closer to home. However, I know that that as well is for many reasons (not all of which I know, by any stretch of the imagination).
Someday soon I will write an entry on my interesting hike that I had a couple of weeks ago.
Sorry if this wasn't very exciting or stimulating. Sometimes it's the simple realizations that are the most profound.
God bless!
