My Blogging Quest Begins

Well, today I finally decided that I had been intrigued long enough by other people's blogs in recent weeks and figured it was time to finally get my own. That, paired with procrastination from schoolwork, served as the beginning of what is a quest of sorts.

What is this 'quest' that I am embarking on, you might ask? That, in itself, is something to be pondered. A quest, as defined by Dictionary.com is "a search or pursuit made in order to find or obtain something," and "to search; seek."

It is not necessarily WHAT I am seeking but WHOM I am seeking... Which, is God. The specifics that I seek are secondary and come out of my relationship with Him. The things which I seek are varied and numerous but range from His peace and guidance, to life direction, to missions, to vocation, to life partner, to provisions.

As my life is soon to be changing from the realm of academia to the 'real world,' I know that I am in for some drastic changes.. However, as scary as those can be or seem, they are welcomed. God has really been challenging me not to become too comfortable where I am.. It is dangerous when we are too comfortable, as we do not strive to grow or to seek Him as we should. Thus, the story of my quest will be revealed bit by bit in the coming months and years, of which this blog will be a source of those testaments.

I would love to hear people's thoughts and comments to my varying randomness that I will eventually post. I hope that in the not-so-distant future that this blog will be a means to keep in touch and that I will eventually use it as a way to keep people updated on my travels/adventures/life. Enjoy!
